For the pipe you need to go to a plumbing supply place. It is the stuff that is used in gas lines and industrial water lines. You should be able to get a drop for cheap. If you don't have one of those in town then you may have to order from McMaster Carr.

Looking to also build a rotissorie. Where did you come up with this list? And is there plans to go with it? Thanks |

Can you make this the official "How to build a rotissorie" thread for those of us who want to build one, but need a little guidance? Maybe a few pictures of the build, and notes about where you had difficulties? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif)

See thread on page 2 of the 914club garage.
Subject: new 914 project, 72 aubergine One914racer has a nice one displayed with his project mounted. Maybe he can guide in the construction phase of a roto914tessorie. Looks like it can be rolled and rotated around easily. |

I built one for my '69 912 restoration and I have a collection of pictures of various cars on rotissories. There are even some 914 pictures there.
Misc. Rotissorie Pictures The rotessorie that I built worked very well, but the rotation point was a little off and required two people to turn the car. My Rotessorie Pics. (IMG:http://www.britainsmith.com/Porsche/912Project/Rotesserie/images/139_3915_JPG.jpg) -Britain |

Dave,
Use the yellow pages and try calling local general welding businesses for the 2" od tube and for the Sch.40 pipe. For such a small amount of material you don't really want to deal with supply warehouses, but welding shops often sell small quantities. |

I actually PAID MONEY for those crappy Automobile Atlanta plans.
I did an improved version in AutoCAD that I may be able to PDF if there is any interest. Mine turned out nicely. Attached image(s) |

Of course there is interest in an updated plan, if you cannot PDF your Autocad file, I can do it for you in a jiffy. tneffhoe@ch2m.com
