This looks like a nice car but it has been for sale since May. What have those that have looked at the car learned?

I looked at the car a while back and saw nothing wrong with it. I thought that the conversion was nicely done. It was purely a personal decision (obviously) not to buy it. I opted to get into the 911 (964) world (keeping my '72 914 of course) instead.

Hi Tom,
I saw your ad here last weekend and sent you an email on Sunday March 9 asking if you would email me more pic's of the car and answer some specific questions I had about the car before making an offer. You never responded. Plse advise. |

Billh1963,
Where did that come from???? I don't even own one 914, I have never bought one before, and the car is for me. What are you smoking? Even if I had 3 of them, and was sending them to Timbuktu to sell in Asia, what business is it of yours?! Maybe you should check yourself into rehab. |

Since you list your location as Munich a logical assumption is that you are repatriating cars to the "fatherland". You have zero posts. If you are a flipper good luck. What you do is your business; of course. I don't drink or smoke so no rehab is needed. I think your mom is calling you to come do the dishes so you need to log off the computer and do your chores. When you are old enough to buy a 914 maybe you'll put on your big boy pants and come join us. Peace out. |

Billyh,
If you believe that posting two times on for sale ads in the last year is a lot, well then posting three times must really get your panties in a bunch. As for the personal insults, I won't reduce myself to your childish level. Just rest assured that while I may have very little experience in the 914 community, I have a lot of experience in the 911 community and have owned and restored numerous cars that would more than likely really make you angry. Now go climb back under your rock. As for anyone else out there reading this thread, before you choose to contact me or anyone else abut selling your 914, plse make sure to ask Bill if it's "okay" first. We wouldn't want him to post his rants over on your For Sale thread and scare away potential buyers too.... Peace back at you Billy. |

I seem to remember a comment about needing rehab.... Enjoy your internet garage consisting of Ferrari GTO's. Bugatti Royale's, Porsche RSR's, etc. In the internet world we all look like Brad Pitt, have 12" d!cks, and are billionaires. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) I'm glad your Canadian boyfriend jumped in to help you..... I won't post on this topic any more since the poster's original ad has unfairly been derailed. It's a great looking car...especially at the new price. If you want to keep the insults flying feel free to PM me...I'm bored today and will be happy to trade internet insults all day! After all, this is the internet so it must be serious! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

other pics while the other posts have gone o.t. , maybe a bit amusing, are a bit O.T. - i would like to ask the owner, a few questions directly related to this car- can you post more pictures of thelongs- i see repair work done, looks clean, but after having seen many of these over the years it seems maybe it was not finished, why just the spot welds? do you have more documentation of how it was done? and a lot of your pictures show a work in progress, but it leaves us not knowing if the carpet job was finished or is this the current state of the car? - can you tell more about the /6 conversion? and the paint? what was the original color, how long ago was it painted? Thanks for any additional information you can post. - it will help you sell the car- Phil |
