Some of us may have our "favorite" color, but does it work on a 914? Very few cars look good in ANY color, so if you're a fan of yours (which you should be) tell us why. To keep it an original color is a great reason also, even if it isn't the most popular or even "fits" the design. Maybe we can all learn something about ourselves today... L50E Adriatic Blue.
I decided after doing some samples that I liked the stock color very much. my other options were a very bright almost neon green and Plumb Crazy. The wife didn't like the plumb crazy (i was surprised) and really liked the blue. It helped that it was the stock color. Attached image(s) |

One advantage we have is that the cars are small- if you have a BIG car and a loud paint scheme it can look obnoxious. I've been looking at Laguna Seca Blue and saw it on an M3. It's very nice and with the right accent pieces can look damn sexy!

I looked at the S4 Audi blue for quite some time. very pretty. but, since my car is mostly glass, I didn't want to spend a lifetime sorting out every wrinkle. |

When I was looking for my current car I wanted silver. But, as often happens, the color finds us and I ended up with Marathon Blue, which is an icy blue. I dislike the black bumpers used in 73-74 so I went with body color bumpers when the car was painted. I think it improves the visual proportions and makes the car look a little longer and sleeker.
