I just purchased a used car trailer that will eventually be used to move my 914. My problem is that the trailer is located in Philidelphia and needs to come to me in Chicago. Obviously, I could travel the 700 miles to pick it up, but would rather not do that. Is there a means to get the trailer moved that is cost effective? I've shipped cars, but never an empty car trailer.
The best option would be to find someone driving from Philly to Chicago that happens to have a trailer hitch on their car and could use the tow fee to pay for their fuel and effort. Any ideas? The trailer needs to leave Philly about mid May. I would certainly entertain having someone transport their car on the trailer as an option. |
