The car has never backfired before but I suspect it may have had a sticky valve and backfired under throttle. When I next looked at the instruments the rev counter had stopped working. Not saying the two are connected but ??? Car is runnibg sweetly ever since.

Can someone give me a lead as to the most obvious reasons for the Rev counter to bomb out please. Presumably electrical?
Thanks
Richard

Sorry guys. It was simpler than I thought. One of the wires had fallen of the distributor. Should have looked for the easy answer first.
