I've had a number of Porsche " short shifters " in years past...so with this project , one was eventually in the cards.....Well , I waited way to long , after a half hour installation the Rennshift has so transformed my driving experience that it is difficult to quantify...The simple improvements in ergonomics seems like 40 horsepower from a red light...no tip toeing to avoid grind..efficient rpm matching..I'm finally beating SUV's...you purest have my upmost sympathy.....do I still need Chris linkage kit ?, Gonna find out asap...this shit is the heat !

In my opinion you need both to optimize everything. I have both on my car. The good Dr. is working on another feature inside the trans but I don't know the status of that.

I have both. It's not a modern BMW but it is an improvement...

But what about a cable shifter? I've seen at least one on eBay and it's gotta work best on a tail shifter, no?

To me, the shifting shiytt is the most primitive part of these cars... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)
