Just collected the engine today, and lo, the injectors are brightly colored! Must be a reason for such difference in appearance......Got good advice on how much to pay for the beast and what parts to collect with it, so enlighten me on these injectors! (first time I've run into multicolors on the same engine)

Thanks!

according to "the" D-Jet info guru...they should be green, but there is a good chance the injectors have been replaced more than once in the last 30 years (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

D-jet information overload \"IPB

your best bet is to run a search on the part numbers embossed on the injectors...going purely on color is not a good idea and can lead to motor failure...

Thanks for the link! As I expected, there was a reason for the two types of injectors.....I'm probably building a Megasquirt to run the beast when the rebuild is done...new technology and easily accessible parts!
