984? Is this the morph from the 914 to the Boxster?

The missing link between the 968 and boxster?

Or just a 968 maybe...

It's part of the "Project: Top Secret!" display at the Porsche museum ...

Could be the 'gap' between the end of 968 and 986? The 986 was filled with rumors it would come with a flat 4-clyl option. Not sure if Porsche even entertained that idea.

Cool! Another Porsche I didn't know existed. Was curious about the lack of a grill up front so I looked it up- turbo flat air cooled 4, but I don't see a turbo.

Looks like an air/water intercooler there, with the inlet leading down towards the bottom side, where all the other hot stuff is.

I was there a couple of weeks back, but didn't take any shots of this one (I think I remember it being very rough). The instrumented 918 prototype was also very distracting...
