Not affiliated.
Looks like a solid car.
Prices for sixes are definitely up there now.
Unlikely you'll find a nice one for the 30-40k anymore.

Very nice car. Not crazy about the door panels, seats, speakers or radio but those are minor issues.

Very nice car. Not crazy about the door panels, seats, speakers or radio but those are minor issues.

. . . likewise these "minor" details: black headlight surrounds, missing fog light switch, crazed/cracked shift knob, missing dog bone foot rest, short rear valance, and . . . the upside down cigar lighter knob!

Speakers still in the door cards....at a minimum....if one is going to try and sell a 914 for that kind of money, I'd show pictures with the car on lift. Exposed Longs too.

This car was listed with a $55,000 BIN on ebay twice in 2014.
Here is what the car looked like when it was a semi-retired auto-x car in Santa Rosa in 2008. It had a bolt in cage and minilites, but otherwise unmolested.
The 2.4 sounded quite healthy when I heard it run.

Bunch more pics on Ebay now.
Plus you can blow the pics up and see some good detail.
Digging the engine foil sticker that is peeling up on the corner for $90K+.

I was on the fence to buy this car a couple years ago. It was on Craigs List at 25K. Talked to the gentleman for an hour. Super nice guy. Euro car and had I think an extra engine to go with it. I found my six a week later and went that way. I will post the pics he sent me. I am so surprised they cut out the roll cage but left the funky door cards...

funny detail you don't see often: that's not a 914 steering wheel, it's the bigger 911 type ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
