Thinking of a fire suppression system, but halon is so expensive, I think foam systems freeze and I'd hate to dump a chemical bottle on it.

Automatic, no residue, looks like a good system, you would just zip tie it to the lid.
Only downside I see is the ugly hose in the compartment.

My one question would a GT lid be closed in enough to make this work proper?

That looks awesome on the video. I would like to hear a few positive reviews from real world users and then I'd put one in all my older cars

This pops up here from time to time. Seems like cheap protection IF it is installed at the ideal location to put the fire out.

I run a Firecharger AFFF fire foam system. My system can be recharged at home and is less caustic than other chemical systems.

To me the freezing issue makes it a total no go.

The only thing that freezes around here is ice cubes in my fridge. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I can fill my pool with tap water. It will just cost me $20,000 in fines. It's about a foot low right now... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

You could probably paint the hose and components flat black, it would pull heat faster and be less noticeable.

This is a great looking system, I doubt it would deploy unless the car was really on fire and parked as shown.

Im considering this now...
