Hi,

the Porsche parts cataloge shows 2 different part numbers for the window guide channels. There is 914.542.013.10 for 914/6 and 914-4 70-72. Second one 914.542.013.11 for all 914-4 73-76. But what is the difference?

Also the parts cataloge shows a part numer for the window channel seal 914.542.161.12 for all 914-4 73-76, but there is no part number for this seal for 70-72. Is there any difference in the seal?

Best,
Mark

didn't the early one have little rollers on the window as guides, while the later ones have the fuzzy inserts??

You got it. Early have no fuzzies in both vertical channel. Front has rollers, rear has a plastic guide that has probably broken off and is in the bottom of the door.
Late is a scissor mechanism with fuzzies in both verticals. Also the early requires a little more clearance at the triangle window seal. You can shave the seal or removed the offending tab.

Thank you! Now I understand the difference and I have found all the items I need in the part boxes.
