Hi,
getting my tools together...making sure I got everything for an engine drop...does anyone know the size of the 12 point star required to remove the cv joint bolts? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) thanks Joe |

Go to your local VW parts house, they'll have what you need for about $7

Tripe square would be 3 (triple) * 4 (square) = 12. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/poke.gif)
I think they're synonymous. They're called serrated as well. |

8MM triple square. Ask the tool joint for "Bug CV bolt tool"; It's all they know. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

And then get new regular hex socket CV bolts from Porsche, and throw those damn triple square socket bolts away. |

Or, you could buy a set of regular socket head bolts from me that are drilled for safety wire! $16 a set (shameless plug)
