Does anyone know about this LE at AA? Overpriced? Obviously, the owner has deviated from the LE spec a bit with the interior and some of the paintwork.

It seems that the car has been there for awhile. Someone added a little more of the Phoenix Red (orange) in the trunks, etc. Basically it all comes down to condition, and how bad you want a LE. Sooner or later it will sell.

As I recall, a Bumble Bee with a blown motor recently sold on eBay for $2500. Seemed to by a good buy. One needing some work was offered out of Utah, asking $4500, then reduced. Jeff (LE guru mentioned that a couple have gone in the $12000 to $15000 range in the last year. They would have been in top condition.

Check out some of the LE threads from the past. Some feel they are rare and of special value, others say no big deal--just another '73/'74 2.0L (which most experts agree are the most desirable four cylinders).

If you want an LE, check it out in person and review the Certificate of Authenticity. Ask lots of questions and look it over closely. Understand that AA knows 914s and should be pretty upfront with you about originality, condition, and the such.

Good Luck.

A little overboard on the orange for my taste, but looks like a nice teener none the less.
