Hello

I am selling a car from my collection that is not going to get the attention it deserves.

1970 914-6 Vin 9140431957

This car was Purchased in the US and brought to Europe in the early 70's where it competed in many races throughout Europe. Details are scarce on races/results. While the car was in Germany it had factory flares installed to GT spec. Sometime in the late 70's the car was returned to the US by it's original owner where it continued to compete. At this point it was being used for club level races at some of the best tracks on the east coast. Sebring, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen etc.

Car has Virginia title and is road legal! The 2nd owner would drive this car to local hill climb events. Log books with the car are SVRA and PCA.

Body
-White Code 11
-Factory steel flares
-Fiberglass Hood, Trunks, bumpers
-Safety device bolt in cage
-Doors have been gutted
-Barkley braces
-GT bracing installed
-Suspension point bracing

Suspenion
-Koni adjustable front and rear
-Front torsion bar 23mm

Brakes/Wheels
-Carrera brakes front and rear
-SS brake lines
-Adjustable brake proportioning valve
-Fuchs 15x7 Front 15x8 rear
-New Hoosier TD tires

Engine/Transmission
-2.7L case
-2.4 S heads
-66mm Crank
-9.5:1 Comp ratio
-Goetz Rings
-GE-60 Cams
-Kenndy 2600lbs Pressure plate and 6 puck clutch
-930 Valve covers
-Weber 40's
-PMO Tall manifolds
-Factory 901 with LSD

Ignition
-MSD BOX
-VDO tach modified to work with MSD

Interior
-New Sabelt race seat installed 2013
-New Belts
-Factory dash in very good condition with gauges.

Engine and transmission have approx 15 hrs since last refresh.Log books seem to confirm this. Body is in very good condition with no signs of damage history. Rust free and ready to run. Paint could use a few touch ups here and there but overall very solid top to bottom.Car needs a few small details such as a new roof latch and cosmetically some of the wires on the front firewall have paint on them. Paint wise I call it a 10 footer. Mechanically the car is race ready or could easily be used for cars and coffee events. Please PM or email John@jollyjumper.com with questions or to request detailed pictures. $43,900 obo Car is located in Upstate NY.

Thanks Cal,
The car is solid and I have been going back and forth on keeping it.
I currently picked up a 74 Carrera race car that needs my attention and I know
this car will sit in the corner until that car is on track!

I've had a ton of interest so far. Maybe I priced it too low?
Anyways if it doesn't sell in the next couple days I might try another
auction site.

Cheers

You priced it for a very quick sale. I dont think it will last the weekend if even the rest of the day.

Original 6- values have been going sky high, however modified 6's are near where they used to be. Race history brings this one back up. It might be a good idea to stop the sale and put it for auction. You might be surprised what it goes to.

I just sent updated pictures to all interested buyers of the underbody, engine bay and a old race livery picture from the 80's at Watkins Glen. Car is very solid throughout just
in need a good power wash to rinse years of race grime (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
