Please post as you build. I'm planning a full mil spec harness for my LS build and would greatly appreciate any tips, tricks and learnings.

Looks good Mark, investing in a nice wire/cable printer helps with the Pro look as well. I have a nice older Brady that I can print out heat shrink labels or wrapped around style.

Tygaboy,
Mil-spec is more than buying parts that say or call out Mil-spec in the catalog.
I've built true Mil-spec assemblies when I did some contract work for a friends company, the paperwork alone is mind boggling deciphering all the specs.

Without derailing Marks thread, I'll post a few that I had kept.
The devil is in the details, it can look great from the outside, the connections and crimps that your don't see are what is important.

Investing in the correct crimping tool goes a long long way. Luckily for hobbiest and small shops like Mark the used tool market is flooded with tools from companies that have shut down, ebay is a good place for some of these crimping tools which originally sold for $500+ dollars.

Looks like how we build flight spacecraft harnesses.

Complete with the Teflon jackets and Kapton tape?
You don't see Kapton tape too much in the wild.
You must have a connection in aerospace :-)

Used a lot now with 3D filament printers, you can find it all day long on Amazon dirt cheap, I have a roll right here at home on my desk for my printer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
