I need a replacement for my 3-port fuel pump, since it's leaking. This is for a '73 1.7. Does anyone have a known-good 3-port fuel pump?

Or, would y'all recommend getting the rebuilt one from AA? It's $395, so rather pricey.

No, don't buy an AA rebuilt fuel pump!

Why? Are they no good? Or just really overpriced?

I can only find two places selling rebuilt pumps -- AA and Parts Heaven. Both are the same price, but Parts Heaven's core charge is less ($125 vs $200).

Are all rebuilt pumps no good, or just AA's?

I wouldn't trust a rebuilt pump and I wouldn't pay AA $400 when they probably pay $50 to have it done. Good luck getting your core charge back.

If you have to keep it a 3 port, place a WTB. I'll look around our shop for a good used one. I usually sell them for $75. I would also ask bdstone - bruce stone on this site, Garold or 914limited.
