Are you sure that is real? I have never seen that before.

The 1971 914 Daytona 500 Pace Car is a 914-6. The wheels on that car are the standard 5 lug steel wheel with hub caps. You can tell by the amount of holes in the wheel. The 4 lug wheels only had 8 holes and the 5 lug wheels has 10 holes. Steve |

They are hub caps. They were quite common in the early 70's. |

Also, those Daytona pace cars pictured above are not the same. One is painted for the 500 and the other is for the ARCA(?) 300.
