I have been working with Gerald Kroon at Kroon Wire Harnesses. I just sent them my 70 harness as a core and as soon as they receive it, they will begin building my 914-6 main chassis harness. Gerald suggested that I order a 70 ROW harness as that's what most customers order for a 914-6.
I understand what "Rest of World" means in general terms but not sure what that means exactly when it comes to a US build car (US v. ROW features/options). My car is a conversion but will have all 914-6 specific parts (steering column, switches, wiper, etc.). Your feedback and opinion regarding the 70 ROW harness, as being the correct harness, is welcome! I do not want to order the wrong harness. Thanks, Greg |

I sent him my '71 - 4 harness to duplicate. After almost 2 years he said he decided not to duplicate it and asked if I wanted it back. Hell yes. Cost me $75 in shipping that I didn't get back. No compensatin from Kroon for the use of my harness for almost 2 years. I know he tells people to list their harnesses for very little value to beat customs but you take a gamble if your harness is lost in shipping.

No experience with him but the finish product looks good. I would never buy one since it easy to fix a harness and I'm a CSOB and an electrician.

I got a harness for a 356 from them. It looks very good but has not yet been installed so time will tell. Looks way better than what i originally had. It wasn't quick by any means but he kept me updated and added things I wanted without much change in price.

If your 1971 harness is a late model year has the 14 pin connector at the steering column, I may be interested in buying it if its is for sale. LMK. |

I bought a -6 engine harness from Kroon and have no problems with it.
It fits and works fine |

I have the parts for euro turn buckets and am considering doing a side marker delete on this car. The ROW harness is perfect then. What about the seat belt warning buzzer on US cars? Was that a standard on 6's? Greg |

The sixes do not have the seat belt warning buzzer so no worries there. I would guess that the ROW cars had the same 3 speed wipers, turn signal switches, etc. I deleted the side marker lights on the six I restored and it looked nicer in my opinion.

The reason for not making the -4 harness from what he told me is that he cant find the relay plate connector unless he orders like 1000 pieces of it. I think it should be possible to 3D print the parts, a bit more expensive per part but at least possible to make.... |
