Still learning here....just curious about the silver plating. PMB's refactored calipers are as I recall a yellow gold plating. Wondering why the difference?

Very nice calipers by the way! For us NOS fans we love to see these pieces.

When I purchased replacement calipers for my first 914, they were silver. That was 1983.

Not uncommon for the coating to fade to silver. You can still make out the yellow cad plating on both right halfs of the caliper. The halfs were done in different batches. It all depends on how clean the metal was when it was plated.
