This is the 228RWhp 914-6 I work on only a few times a year. Nice car, it has all the goodies most of us dream of. Those are 17's in the back and 16's in the front. He is getting 17's for the front.

Those are 275's in the rear. Trans cooler, front oil cooler, BIG Brakes blah, blah. Roll cage, GT stiff kit and some other tube braces that attatch to the sups ears. VERY tight car. You take a jack to any corner and the whole car picks up. It's that stiff. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) FYI it's a 70 914-6 (original).

Still have one tail dragger that I finished up just today. The 914-6 was getting a rebuilt pedal cluster, change of fluids, tech inspect ect. Here is a shot of Sklines old 914 still in the process of being "Rootized". (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif)

Looks like the one shot of Scott's old 914 didn't make it up. Here is a couple showing the front and rear lids, oh engine lid too. Michelle and I sanded the bottom sides and painted them. First paint to go on the latest Root six conversion.

Sort of hard to make out the color, but it is a Porsche stone grey from the late 80's. Really nice understated color I think. I am still waiting on the flares from AA. Engine was picked up today and I didn't have time to pick up the 2.7 that will soon power this little 914. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) Sorry Dave, I had to take the first person who PM'd about it. Brian was a very nice guy. The 2.0 will replace the 1.8 in his 74 914. |

What are the 17 inch rears? Look like Fuchs. Are they Fuchs centers bolted to two piece rims?

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) Yeah I am small potatos to the city. Yep, this guy has 3 piece rims all around, the 16 and 17 inchers. The ones were they take the center out of a 16 inch rim and make whatever you want from it. I come home each day and (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/drooley.gif) over this 914. |
