I'm putting a tool kit together for my car and have a few questions:

1. Anybody ever use or know anything about the electric flares? They are charged with the lighter or USB or batteries. I gotta get my lighter socket working!

2. Dynaplug tire repair kit. Thoughts?

3. Hand cleaner. I had some totally waterless hand cleaner that got used up and I cannot find it in stores. Don't remember the name, sorry. You just rub it on, and as you rub, it cleans and disappears. All the waterless ones I've seen require a rag to wipe off at some point. I do have a rag, but I liked this other stuff.

4. BTW, is there some sort of sticky thread that has a list of tools to carry? I've seen many posts about it. Just thought it might be nice to have one place for a list. I'm happy to do it if people add to this post, PM me the links to the other ones, or send me info.

Thanks!

I just keep disposable rubber gloves stashed in my tool roll instead of hand cleaner.

I have rubber gloves, but I either get dirty anyway, or forget to put them on. And, sometimes I just need to feel with my bare hands.

That type of tire repair kit works great if the puncture isn't on the sidewall. I've only had two flats in the last 30 years, but both were unrepairable.

If you aren't carrying a spare tire, you'll need a pump. Common metric wrenches. Screwdrivers. Couple types of pliers. Knife. Duct tape and bailing wire. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

AAA card! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Goop tells you to use water to rinse (or a rag). That could work, but I had some stuff that used absolutely no water at all; you just rubbed your hands clean. I was hoping to find that.

Thanks for the repair kit info.

Got a AAA card. It's come in handy.

Got all the other stuff, I just need to finalize it.

Thanks! My only concern is that the batteries will leak or go bad. I'm hoping to find ones that charge with the lighter. Of course, that's no good if the issue is electrical. But, it's good to know that they put out lots of light. That was my main concern.
