I got a runner... No fuel to carb... Car needs help a lot of help... 1974 1.8 with single carb .... Warnout carb... Thank GOD for AAA that how I got home from work.

The only shop in the portland area that i know of that will work on 914's is A&P speacilists. they are off of 82nd and stark I think.

any 914 with a single carb is going to be an adventure. they're the result of a corner-cutting bucks-down PO and you should assume nothing. you'll have to verify everything to understand what you have and try to exorcise as much Mickey-Mouse engineering as you can on a reasonable budget and schedule.

single center carbs just don't work in 914's...

Just had my fuel system worked on by D&M Automotive Services in Beaverton (behind Tom's Pancake House). Dave is a really straight-up guy and was extremely reasonable. He's an old VW guy and has worked on a few 914s.
