For a someone new to Porsche, what would be a good book as a reference guide to rebuild car & engine?
Looking through old topics, I found recommendations for Haynes Repair Manual and Wilson's How to Rebuild Your Volkswagen air-Cooled Engine.

Looking through amazon, I also found "Porsche 914 4 Cylinder Engines Owners Workshop Manual 1969-1976" by Brooklands, "914 Porsche: A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity" and "How to Restore and Modify Your Porsche 914 and 914/6". Any thoughts on these books? Any others?

Is there a good website with a step by step info?

Thank you,

Vadim

I can get you an electronic copy of the factory manual. A simple Haynes manual is good for most repairs.

For the engine both of these are very helpful:

Raby Video

Wilson Book

Hopefully Jake will come out with an updated video before too long, but this is still very relevant.

Hi Bruce,
Is your electronic service manual any better than the one Dr 914 offers?
