Whenever I walk through a wrecking yard, I always end up thinking about the history of the cars there. Especially cars like a 914, because they are cars for car people, not just transportation. I think about the person who walked into the showroom and looked at that car. Then they went to the bank and got a loan to finance it, bought it and drove it home. Once home, they showed off their new car to all their friends and neighbors, proud of what they had bought.

Once a well loved treasure, now it is scrap, waiting for the end.
