I was going through some stuff tonight in prep for the Air Cooled swap this week end in central PA.

Found this what I thought was an intermediate plate out of a 914 trans for a six. Then I compared it to a trans I have that is supposedly out of my six that has numbers 902/02 914/01 7500392 stamped on the bottom rib. The intermediate plate on this trans is thicker than the spare I have, pictured below

PN looks like 901 301 2210 instead of 905 301 2210 listed on the trans drawing for a six??

Maybe the good DR Evil will chime in on this. Always thought the stock plates were the same thickness. PET and old paper catalogue show plate as 911.301221.00. 905.301.221.01 indicates Sportmatic transmission

901 part would supersede to 911 number. So I would say that the section you have is good for a -6 or 911.

Did some more searching. This appears to be a very early 911 intermediate plate.
