Everything about them seems ghetto. Sorry. That does not mean that everyone once in while they don't trip over a decent car, I just have not seen one yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Other than their half decent pics, you might as well just buy off craigslist.

The owner has a private collection near his office when you enter. Dozens of eclectic vehicles, all looking like right out of the period when they ran (perhaps still run ¿¿). Alfa Romeo Zagatos, Porsches, etc. The neighborhood that it's in is approx 20 miles S/E of BH 90210 (near County Hospital)...so I don't get that Business Naming at all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Looks like one I bought in the late 90's for parts. Same type of repair. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

It is actually refreshing to see someone advertising "junky" Porsches for sale, and giving them glamour shots! Certainly a fresh approach to show their patina, and give someone a shot at purchasing a project

Same one I posted over the weekend.

These guys get a lot of flack on the Alfa forums as well. Just keep in mind they post pictures of everything they can, and welcome in person inspections as well as road tests etc.

I stop by every 6 months or so and I have free run of the place with as much time as I need to inspect anything I want, so if you get burned buying here it's a lack of diligence on your part.

I do agree, however, that their overview blurbs are a bit frothy.

They actually have some gorgeous stuff if you walk in, most of those cars are sold before they hit the website.

I've seen him sell a pile of rust 64' 911 with 4 wheels leaned against it with a clean title for $45k

If you did the floor right you'd have the stiffest non-caged 914 ever (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It is not that misleading when they include pictures of all the bad shit. It doesn't matter how optimistic the description is when you give all the pictures of the ugly along with it, it just makes the advertiser look a little stupid. If after all that someone paid that for that car it's their own fault.

Except when they leave out info like the car was in Hurricane Sandy and had saltwater over the roof, anyone remember that 914/6. Seriously, I wouldn't buy anything from Manos unless I put my hands on it first.

Wow. That might be the 1st 914 I've ever seen with a frame and not a unibody.

Credit for keeping the car on the road, but that can't have been the best way to fix some rotting floor panels. But I suppose when the floors needed doing maybe the re-popped panels were not as available as they are now.
