As I'm sure you know, real ones are very hard to find but there are repo's available in fiberglass.

I think this is a product that RESTEORATION may want to look into. I need one for a 914-6 restoration project . There are a lot of 6 projects out there .

I have a spare 914-4 deep valance I purchased prior to my long search and expensive purchase of an original 6 valance, that I am willing to offer for sale.
These are identical to the 6 valance except the exhaust outlet hole is locate more inboard vs the 6. This can be fairly easily moved outward when the rest of the part is being tidied up by a good metal person. The part is in over all very good condition with the usual wrinkles and a few cracks but its very solid and rust free and wears its original finish as best as I can tell. Right of first refusal goes to Speedo since it is his thread but I'll go in order of interest after that. I'm local in So Cal so pick-up would be great. Shipping these is not easy because they are fragile but I can box properly if needed. Firm on $350 plus actual shipping and packing charges, thanks. |

This valance has not been claimed yet so it's still available.
For reference this is the difference between 914-4 and 914-6 valances showing how much the hole requires relocating. I borrowed this image from a previous thread, thanks. |

True the 6 valance is deeper. we looked at cutting two 4s in half length wise and welding together

also might want to offer cutting vertical "cooling" slots like some of the hot 911s have. Not for stock 914-6 but for the guys that have 6 clones with big engines
