Currently have the original 1.7 in the car.
Slooooooowly building a 2056 with 2.0 heads. Desperately need new exhaust; sounds like a machine gun off throttle! Would like to buy exhaust I can use now, but also on 2056. Need heat too. What to buy? |

1.7 and 2.0 SSI’s have the same ID so the 1.7’s will work fine on your bigger motor as long as you can find a good 1.7 exhaust. I will be having stainless steel 1.7 dual out sport mufflers made in the next month or two. 2.0 single and dual out are on their way in a week or two. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

So I can buy 1.7 hx and muffler and it will bolt to the 2.0 heads?
What's the difference then? Muffler bracket? Can I get a 2.0 hx, muffler and bracket and it will bolt right up to the 1.7? Just trying to figure out my options. |

You either need all 1.7 parts (heat exchangers, muffler, muffler bracket) or all 2.0 parts. No mix or match. Either size exhaust kit will bolt onto 1.7 heads or 2.0 heads. The exhaust ports on the heads are the same.

also Pelican parts has the 2.0 hanger bracket for about $40 so not worth trying to source an worn out original
