Looking to repaint my engine cover grill and the two side grills. Do the rubber covered speed nuts(?)that hold the grills in place twist off or do you have to pry them off? How to do it without scratching the surrounding paint. Thanks for the advice.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) And if you don't have those, just muscle em with a linesman plier (carefully). You'll prob need to replace them anyway.

If your trying ot save the plastic letters good luck.
I used a dremel with a small diamond blade & cut off the push-on fasteners that do have a embedded metal clip in them
