Hey all.

after a long hiatus, im finally getting around to getting my 914 back on the road. Im located near Albany NY and am wondering if anyone can recommend a good local shop who is familiar with 914s.

Right now im just going to be looking for a state inspection and general overlook of the car, but down the road im going to be looking at getting the hell hole taken care of.

Thanks in advance

Bavarian does all of our mechanical work, my C43 AMG Benz is there right now, but they also work on all my personal cars, as well as shop cars. They know 914's well, and are air-cooled versed. Rick came up through the dealership in the 70s so worked on stuff like MFI when it was new, how many guys can say that?

Hey Ray! Ive got to say every time i saw you post a drive with your 914 on instagram it helped inch me closer and closer to getting this back on the road. And yep, I still have Richies old car. I toyed with the idea of selling it a year or two ago, but im glad i didnt.

welp. fresh gas and oil and a filter change. Just took it out for its first spin in a while. Still has its rattles and squeaks, but its like it never missed a beat.

I missed this.
