Hi Guys:
I'm thinking the electrical portion of my ignition switch is starting to give out. What are people using as a replacement? My car is a 1971 4 cylinder. Thanks, Peter |

It’s the same as a 1971 VW Bug!

I’ve read mixed results with the replacements made in China. I bought a new one from Porsche (through Pelican) and it was still going strong after 3 years when I sold the car

Got mine from Autohaus
Chinese version for sure. I think a big failure point was pushing the OEM high amp starter circuit through it and cracking the switch over time. I went with a separate starter solenoid in the engine bay and a push button starter in the dash to take the starter load out of switch entirely. So far so good. |
