(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) How many of the 23 original M 471 are still available/exist? George might be one of the best authorities.

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=364166 https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo21/mon...46-m471/1131361 this is George's former car that he brought to Okteenerfest 5-6 years back!! Also i ran into him and his wife on sunday during the concours, after having seen the car at the BroadArrow booth on saturday, he was surprised to see it out there so soon after being bought from him. I didnt know he had sold it, I thought this was the car that he would keep. i first saw it at the Hilton Head Island Concours when they first showed it afte completion aobut 5 years or so back, It won class as did Steve G's 914/4 in its class( if you dont know that red car pictured by Steve above in the same picture was also Steve's M471 car and it also is back up for sale i believe in Europe) Maybe George will chime in here when he sees the thread, hey George it was good to see you out and about at Amelia. OOPS!! Not original..... Black headlight surrounds were not on a 70. They were not available until 1973. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) "the consignor conducted a thorough review of the car, focusing on the details to return it to a condition closely resembling how it left the factory 52 years ago". looks like the consignor got his tits in a tangle over the cigarette lighter too. i mean you know, who wants to get picky, but it is half a mil. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) whats with the stoopid tyres? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) i was gonna comment on the front sway bar. but who knows. |
