I was going to say the same. From his carefully worded add (and PIC) he makes it unclear that this is probably one of the plastic covers not an OE dash top. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif)

It is a "Dash Cap" not a complete dash! You can also see how thin it is in the first picture.

I have one on my orange car. Not worth it, IMHO. Mine's all warped just behind the gauges. Lots of leaves and what not gathering back there.
