Wish we had courses like that in Portland. Santa Rosa looks like a mini road course. What fun!

One weekend bump (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon_bump.gif)

And an open invite to all to come run this course on Sept 3rd.
It always runs clockwise and quick.
Never seen an a/x use so few cones.

In the videos I'm approaching the top of 3rd in the long straight...That's 4th if ya bring yer FOUR. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)

Here's my 1.8 with Supertrapp at Marina on 7/24. Trying 3rd gear around a sweeper and not making it.

JP, tell us about your gearbox, please.

Stock "N" 3rd is good to 87mph at 7300rpm. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)

I tried 4th once, cost me .020 seconds. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

I admit that was a WAG.
It isn't the trans, it's HP.
My limiter is set at 7100, my tire size is about the same as yours. I usually shift at about 6500(hp starts falling off there)....unless I need that last little bit of gear so as not to *have* to shift....I don't mind doing 20 -30 feet on the limiter.
Here's a little vid. I couldn't quite bring my self to go WOT all the way thru this section in 3rd.
