My 74 914 has a bit of rust. All painted over by the previous owener. It is primarely around the front window, and a little of the rear trunk.
I want to know if anyone can direct me to a link or a good publication on the best way to stop or slow down the process as well as how to remove it, repair and re-paint it. Can anyone help me out? (e-mail is bmunday@cox.net)
Thanks

Do a 914club forum search on "rust repair". You will find lots of info on rust, rust prevention, and rust removal. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif)

And also do a internet search on "POR-15". Gud stuff.

I tried that earlier but didn't have any luck, of course I was still on my first cup of coffee. Did it again and as expected found a great deal of info.
