Getting rid (thinking) of 2.7 & 915 Wevo box in my 914 for a 2.2 (6cyl) with 914 sideshift - PM me to discuss, might miss posts for a week.

Have to pull my 2.7 out for a service looksee (several people have said the 2.7 isn’t running as it should & mechanic thinks it needs to come out n everything checked including cam timing) & might as well put a 2.2 6cyl back in. Long story short, want to put my 2.7 in my 912 & replace the 2.7 w WEVO 915 with a 2.2 & 914 sideshift instead, that leaves me with the WEVO 915. Anybody interested in trading a 2.2 & 914 trans for my WEVO 915 setup? Everything is in a running but nicely done 914/6 Tribute car so trans can be tried out.

Might consider a nice 2.2 thru 2.7 MFI & 901 (912/911 config) trade for my 914 WEVO setup, trades work much better for me than $ because of the stupid values I’m seeing.

I dunno, you might have better luck selling that WEVO 915 box. Lots of 914 folks really like that conversion.

Sourcing a good used or even rebuilt 901 should be fairly easy.

I’d love to trade for the Wevo box, have a 914 box from my 914-6GT clone and other stuff (2.2 core crank) and more.
Feel free to PM me.

I would also like to trade for the 915 if interested. I have 2 side shift 901 boxes. Both complete, one is fully disassembled and the case was sent to Childs motorsports for the black magnesium treatment, the other is a complete core with unknown history.

I also have MFI intake parts like throttle bodies and stacks, and a 2.7 motor fully disassembled with fresh heads. The heads are 911S midyear spec.

The shift linkage is somewhat stiff. Anyone have an installation manual for the 915 WEVO tail shift set up?

I believe the rod from the firewall to the WEVO tail-piece needs to be turned around so the jog is to the rear.

Car also has hinged engine crosspiece? What for?
