Since discovering my supply and return lines from the SS lines PO did are reversed been working to correct that. Now have all, correct I think, routing. But, since putting gas back in, she will not start. There is a little fuel going into the new fuel filter. Maybe that is correct but I get no indication she is even attempting to start. I hear some bubbling in the tank, that is it. What I did do is add a SS taper from Tangerine. You can sort of see it on the left there under the heat duct. Now I am wondering if where I put it, with maybe 8-10” of the smaller line into the filter is causing the problem? Causing too little fuel to flow?

Maybe you can draw a diagram of what hoses go where, both at the tank end and the engine fuel loop. Then post it here. Something not looking quite right.

I suggest that you're fighting a losing battle with the pump still located in the engine compartment. Counting on gravity flow from the tank the length of the car is not as efficient as pressure feed when the pump is relocated near the tank location, and do you still have that problematic mesh sock on the feed tube in the tank? Make sure you’re plumbed properly at the 3 port pump

Attached Image

S = fuel inlet
D = fuel outlet (pressure)
R = excess fuel return internal to pump / air bleed to prime the pump internally (very little if any flow at this port)

Make sure your pump is connected with proper polarity and not running in reverse

Fuel hoses can easily kink under the tank. Pull the supply line off the pump and verify fuel flow to the pump

Look for kinks. That Gates hose is very stiff and does not like to turn corners. That is why I stopped using it.

One thing I know is incorrect is the SS lines are on the wrong sides. I did confirm, as I removed the tank, that the larger goes to the outlet with the sock, replaced all that too.

I routed the supply, the larger SS line, to the new fuel filter. That is where the line with the SS taper routes. Looks sort of wonky. Not going to swap the SS lines as that may not really matter?

Supply line (bigger dia) fits better on the passenger side, return on the driver side, but ultimately, only the connections matter. Location of the reducer won't affect flow.
I agree about making sure no kinks have formed where the hoses bend.

The S,D,R on the pump are German initials but I like to think of them as S=supply, D=delivery, R=return.
