Just figured to share the progress I have made over the past few months.

Primarily an engine refresh and some remediation. Good news is I'm ready for a Test & Tune this Sunday and should make it back to the races a week after.

Sure, but by no means a recommendation.

GA engine stock except for light weight pistons and rods with a little bit of compression bump. Mostly because I just had the parts and I was fixing some valve leakage and I didn't see the slippery slope until it was too late. Dual twin 40mm IDF carbs, limited by class. Race exhaust header with 2.25in muffler for local noise.

Still working on tuning the carbs, but starting to get there(I think)

I'll be interested to hear how you do in EP. It's always seemed to me that a 914/4 will be pretty heavily outgunned by modern OHC cars that can get 200hp+ pretty easily out of a 2L.
My thought for mine is to source a 1.8 and run in FP. That could be a fair fight. Would put it in VP1 as well, where it would be very competitive. One could build that on a G case core. Change the crank, P/C's and you're there.

Super cool. I still haven't done isht with mine lately but the car is more ready than my body at this point. My trailer is basically shot as well (dang trailer tires got $$$). Still optimistic I will get out for a TT or DE at least this year though.

Definitely share pics/vids/stories of how it goes!

Very cool car. Also will be interested to see how it goes in SCCA. A 914 can be a killer in FP or EP, but I wonder if a competitive engine (200+ hp) would be a grenade. Will be a blast either way!
