Anyone have a couple of the MPS Bracket Screws sitting around?
PET says: No.7 - 3.9x9.5 900.138.030.02 Hardware stores have no.6 and no.8 - but always skip the 7s... They look like this - thanks! ![]() |

No. 7 most likely refers to the position in the OET diagram. Sounds like you are confusing that with SAE hardware sizes. Call an Ace Hardware store to see if they carry metric screw sizes. Belmetric will carry them but shipping alone is about $10
There are some Netric screw sizes with are interchangeable with SAE sizes. Look for a dimensional chart with both types. I remember using a no. 6 screw to replace a metric size. |

According to the AA parts manual, the screw you need is:
Oval head sheet metal screw PN N0139481 B 5,5 X 25 |

Hey guys.
Bruce - it's actually position 28 on the PET and is listed as "tapping screw" BZ 3,9 x 6,5 900 138 030 02 I actually went to ACE yesterday and they have metric but I couldn't match anything up. There are a couple of online sources but you're right - shipping is just a killer. AA has them under the part number I list - for $1/each but there isn't anything else I need other than one very small plastic 911 part that isn't in stock.... Jeff - that's different dimensions from what I see on the PET. This shouldn't be that hard! |

PET can be hard to decipher sometimes.
#28 is the tiny little screw at end of the ECU to the removable ECU bracket. You had been asking about the sheet metal screw attaching the MPS bracket to the chassis, that is #17. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() Attached image(s) ![]() |
