Spent the past 20 minutes looking through old posts on this and got frustrated.
I just want the led fogs to turn on when I pull the lever. Don't care if they do or don't shut off with the high beams. I assume it will be easiest to have them turn on only when the lights are on. Everything else is led. Just switched the fogs over and they of course don't turn on. |

If I remember, there is a post to wire the fog lights independent of the headlights. This way you can turn on the headlights and the fog lights separately.

I think this is the thread you are looking for. Apologies if it isn't. Also, I think I know who would have the answer @spoke

Also, I think I know who would have the answer @spoke http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...4737&st=100 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) In this thread many people contributed to making the function of the foglights be independent of the hi/lo beams. Disconnecting the negative side of the foglight relay from the high beams and grounding it was the key. |

Glad that was the solution. As spoke pointed out, a lot of people put in the time to figure out how to make it work. I appreciate the fund of knowledge that exists here on this forum and the people who take the time to share it.
And, I know it's a different thread, but that "budget" paint work looks great! |

Ya' might want to hit the headlight shrouds if you have any blue paint left over...
