Back when, we brought our dowel pin count to 8. But that was a type 1. This is like someone added dowel pins to a type 4 crank.

We have a very lightened "racing" flywheel with 5 dowels like this one. So, yes, some type iv flywheels and crankshafts did get this treatment.
But, no crankshaft to go with it. Thought it might be good for a project at the time, but it's had way too much material removed for any practical use. At least it's not likely going into anything we have planned. |

I've not seen that before ,has been "wedge mated " like they do with T1 cranks ??.

Very rare, the flywheel doesn't have the holes Thanks Would not call it "very rare". But, it's not normally used for stock or stockish motors.
