I have two 1974 914s, one I am restoring one and the other is a donor/parts car. Both cars have fog lights, the donor has a fog light switch on the dash left of the steering wheel, the restoration car has no switch on the dash.
I think the resto car had a center console; would the switch have been there rather than the dash? Where else could it have been? |

Console cars did not have switches in there.
Is the hole in the metal underlay, and possibly got covered up by someone replacing the overlay? And/or the car did not originally come with the optional foglights and the hole was never punched through the overlay. Edit: how are the fogs activated on the resto car? Did the fogs get wired to come on with parking lights? https://members.rennlist.com/demick/fogrewire.html |

The foglight switch wiring is behind the dash. It was there from the factory, just not connected to anything.

fog lights were an option
