Since there is no price as per forum rules , I suggest the OP gives me 20K and the title. Then I'll come and get it + drive it away (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

A little more information about this car that I was able to dig up on a lazy Sunday morning:

There is some information in the VIN database: (deleted, this is not the correct VIN)

Some more information in this thread. See posts #14, #15, and the final post of the thread.

Some of its racing history:

deleted link: not the correct car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

@Cairo94507 . Can you pass up on a chance to get the car that ignited your passion for 914's? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Hi guys. I believe I know that car. Looking at the license plate and the color along with the unique stripe, I believe that was Bob Zulkowski's '71 914-6. He, along with Troy Powell, owned and operated Metal Craft in Hayward, CA in the 70's and 80's. Troy had a flared blue 914-6 and Bob had this '71. It was pristine. At some point during his ownership it was rear-ended and Bob repaired it. I believe that was when it was painted black and the stripe, euro-badge were done.

Since I already have a '71 914-6, I would not be a buyer for this particular car. I rode in it many times with Bob; he was a great guy. He and his wife auto-crossed it many times.

I saw the photos (from the link) of the flared, short windscreen car, Metal Craft built, owned and raced. That was not this '71 914-6. To my knowledge, the 914-6 was never flared or raced, other than auto-crossing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Oh no you don’t! I’ll drop the payment to buyer (Me) just 15k and title in hand. Hand shake and a smile then drive it away. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

In which case I may also have the VIN wrong! Should have looked closer..... Not only a lazy Sunday, but lazy research.

Um yeah, wrong VIN:) I own 4732924107, it's Bob's race car that was converted to a six in 1975 and raced extensively from 1975-1980 in IMSA/TransAM/SCCA, complete with logbooks and complete history from Bob through all previous owners to me.

Hello,
I have it offered in Europe for €60k, have no rush to sell it. I just don't drive it that often and we are running out of space (my kids also start collecting vehicles).
It is Bob Zulkowski's car, still have one of his registrations.

It drives nicely, I had it on the Nuerburgring last year.

Still doing standard services on the car to keep it on the road.
