Does anybody have any experience with Liland Global gas tanks for the 914? They are about $216 on Rock Auto, compared to $375 for the Dansk.
Thanks. George |

Dansk is the only one that I have experience with and I know that they make a version for both early and late. Does this new vendor have that as well? I have never heard of that version and would be interesting to see the quality and fit

Liland Global has two versions:
GTPOR-06A: 1970-1974 - Has the attachment points for the overflow tank and carbon canister. GTPOR-06B: 1972-1975 - Does not have the attachment points. If you search for a 1974, this link (https://www.showmetheparts.com/liland/) will show you both versions. And here it is on RockAuto for $216 https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/liland+gl...,fuel+tank,6268 Supposedly, they are galvanized and painted. |

Liland Global is a United States company headquartered in East Syracuse, New York, but the primary country of origin for some of its parts, such as radiators, is Taiwan and China. Liland Plastics, which is part of Liland Global, also highlights their products are "All of Liland Plastics is made in USA! Or in Central New York!" but this likely refers to the assembly or manufacturing processes, not necessarily the raw materials or origin of all components. Their products are also available on Amazon!

Curious to know the outcome.
All the Dansk tanks I have seen the pinchweld is taller than factory so the plastic tank strap buffer does not sit properly. |

I had the high rib issue with my dansk tank as well. Seems to be universally wrong.
