For 30 grand he could buy a fully restored 914 and give it to his father. I had a good friend battle colon cancer with kemo and surgery, only to pass away in 6 months at 59 years old. If you are over 40 get a colonoscopy every 5 years. Not fun, but it will save your life!

Fun fact! I sold that 914 to Fox Business for the show. Mark Oja(from Overhaulin' and American Hot Rod) worked with Fox on that first season to help coordinate the builds. I talked with Patrick many times during the build to help guide him through the mechanical aspects of the car. Unfortunately, the show was on a very tight budget and the build reflects that. I know Patrick is very talented and could have built the car to a much higher level if the schedule and budget allowed. But the gentleman that received the car was very happy with it and drove it often! While the car was a great distraction for him,he was in very bad health. I haven't spoken to him in a few years, which lead me to believe that he might have passed. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. I do know that he taught his sons how to drive it so they could enjoy the car for years to come.

Of course there are links to this story and 914 World!,

To watch Fox Nation dreams Cars requires a subscription. Haven’t seen the full show. Can anyone provide a quick summary as to how this came out.
