I bought these wheels with like new French Continental rubber on them. I have tried deciphering the DOT number (Dot LLRB 3TN) but drawing blanks. Can someine pls help me figure out how old they are? Tire Rack has a great article on this topic. How Do I Determine The Age Of My Tires? |

The date stamps are sometimes only on one side.
Past 2000 it will be 4 digits stamped INTO the tire. I've never seen a date stamp with raised features. Pre 2000 it sometimes was a three-character (could be alphas) stamp and was not consistent between manufactures. first two referred to week and last referred to year. Anything usable will have the 4-digit code. (first two=week number/second two=year) I have seen multiple recent examples of commercial tires (big equipment) tires that are not dated. Tires that fit a 914 are not in this group. If those tires are actually meant for sale and use in France it's possible they don't fall under a DOT requirement for dating. I have ZERO knowledge of French Automotive regulations... |

Produced in 08 so pristine junk I guess. What a shame. |

Yes, Pedrinis, but reproduction center caps. I got a great deal on them and plan on putting them on the 75 that I’m currently working on (if I ever get past the body work on it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif))
