I'm not sure what kind of targa top I have on my GT replica, but the cross member does not allow the targa front latch to seat properly. Also, the little plastic arm won't work so the latches are extremely difficult to operate by hand. Is there a better solution for this latch? The top seals have been replaced recently, so I don't think the squeak is coming from them. It seems that the passenger lever just won't close flush to the top as it interferes with the cross member rib. Any help appreciated. John

Looks like you latch handles are broken. There is a lever that swivels 90 degrees and give you extra leverage to open and close the latch. It attaches where that round area is in the pic that has the latch open. Sorry I can't help on the squeak.

Looks like a DAPO broke the latch on purpose to clear some sort of homebrew stiffener crossmember rib?
Use a little Armor-All or silicone on the rubber seals to quiet the squeak. Find a new targa top. Attached image(s)
