I need to pick up a M7 nut for one of the rocker arm studs. Will a M7 nut from the hardware store/Home Depot work or do I need one from one of our suppliers? I'm assuming Porsche will charge me 3x for the Porsche sticker on the plastic bag.

The most common metric sizes are 6 X 1.0 and 8 x 1.25 Dime a dozen, everyone has them.

The least common are 7 X 1.0 and anything in 9.

I don't think 7 X 1.0 (what the stud size is on my 2.0 heads) will be available for pick up anywhere.

I'd want a higher grade than what the normal hardware store has.

Hopefully someone will offer up a good used stock one for you.

In this case I'd be hunting original.

I wouldn't bet on it, but I think they are hardened
