Good friend of ours Tom L. from Santa Fe NM, is the new Steward of the famed Yellow School Bus (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
Originally built in 1979/ raced by Wayne Baker in the '80s ; Wayne then took the wheel of his IMSA 934...and the 'Bus sat, sold off, somewhat raced then stored. "Ran when parked" It is a highly tweaked T4 2.2L custom engineered 6-stud heads, BMW mfi (2002tii) in a 1,650 lb 914. Kinsler/Hilborn or similar on the manifold shot. Probably the MFI pump made by Kugelfischer that was from BMW 2002tii I've driven a bunch of old race cars, and those AP Racing calipers were the stiffest aluminum 4-piston types available. <5lbs each with pads. |
