Thanks go to 914LE Creamsicle owner 'Carl' @ppm2u for cloning and colorizing the single black and white newspaper ad from 1974 (the only 914LE advertisement located to date) into two ads - one for the BB and the other for the CS.
These will go onto the 914LE website, but in the meantime, thanks Carl! Attached thumbnail(s)

There were no factory Grasshopper 914s, as confirmed by PCNA. All GHs were dealer/owner mods of standard light ivory 914s. The side stripes were available through dealers in several non-LE colors such as gold, light green, forest green,red, white and others. And the front factory LE spoilers were also available at the dealer parts counter. Porsche even had a 'Personal Porsche' program promoting owner mods using these parts...so they did. Voila...the GH cars. |
